How I Teach
I teach from a place of genuine love for what yoga teaches me every day. In my classes, I share what has helped me move through the world with resilience and an open heart. I offer gems of wisdom from classical ancient teachings, weaving philosophy into movement in a way that is practical, accessible, and often shared with a touch of humor.
Expect a steady focus on breath and alignment, building strength safely at your own pace. You will leave calmer, grounded, and ready for your busy life.
Hatha Yoga
Hatha represents the union of sun (ha) and moon (tha) energies. These classes involve longer pose holds and a slower pace. I take time to set up each posture, often using the wall for support to teach alignment. It is a practice of "being" rather than "doing," making it perfect for beginners and intermediate students looking to deepen their foundation.
Slow Flow Yoga
A Vinyasa style that unites breath with movement. My Slow Flow is paced to invite mindful awareness of the transitions between poses. Expect sun salutations, lunges, and inversions that challenge you from within. We work with an appreciation for the body you are in today, always ending with a peaceful savasana.
Seasonal Deep Dives & Lunch
Extended 90-minute classes attuned to the season. These sessions include pranayama, guided meditation, and chanting for a truly felt experience. After the practice, we share a nutritious, scrumptious vegetarian lunch together—connecting with friends, neighbors, and community over a shared meal.
Healing Circles
Healing happens when we gather in circle to reclaim our sovereign, divine selves. These monthly Friday gatherings at The Home Retreat Studio feature sound healing, yoga nidra, and journaling. We act as lighthouses for one another, raising our collective vibration to stay golden during uncertain times.
Prenatal & Postnatal
Prenatal: Designed to grow a community of wise pregnant women. We focus on stamina for birth, connecting to baby, and reducing anxiety through breathwork.
Postnatal: For new moms and babies (up to crawlers). We focus on pelvic floor health, posture, and self-care in a non-judgmental, supportive environment.
Family, Teen & Tweens
Family Yoga: A 45-min adventure for ages 2-5 through music and movement. Props, energy, and stickers included!
Teens & Tweens: A 4-10 week series helping young people manage stress through mindfulness and finding their inner strength.
Beginners Series
A 4-week casual, fun series where questions are encouraged. Perfect for learning the basics for the first time or returning to them with fresh eyes.
